Hey, I’m Sarah O and I am The Bad Cook. I am a self-taught cook who makes clean food that is easy and quick to prepare. Most of my recipes are gluten and dairy free and many are paleo, vegan, Whole30, nut-free, soy-free, and raw.
I’m on a quest to end my perfectionism and I’m obsessed with living an intentional and meaningful life. Let’s rewind to three years ago…
I was sitting in my doctor’s office listening to her tell me that I had severe polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and that there was no cure. This would mean that I would just have to continue to live my life with hormonal imbalances, adult acne, mood swings, depression, and there was a high likelihood that I would never have children.
Queue hours of online research. I found out that food, stress, and toxic products are directly related to your hormonal health and that thousands of women had been able to manage their PCOS by radically changing their diet and lifestyle.
One small problem: I had no idea how to cook.
So I taught myself. Through the process, I learned that we need to let go of our perfectionism, because it always holds us back, that food is medicine, and that reducing stress and intentional living is the key to a happy life.
The truth is, we’re all bad cooks. And being bad is perfect. Bad cooks unite.
